I've been using the Relion Confirm but what do you guys think about the Relion Micro?

I've had reason lately to think that my meter might be off so I picked one up since they're so cheap. I tested it out on myself and got a 109 with the Confirm and a 99 with the Micro.

Anything thoughts on this?

All meters are allowed by law to have a variance of up to 20% so in reality those numbers are basically the same with the variance allowance.

that's what I thinking too. I basically just got the meter to make sure that mine wasn't reading really far off and since it uses the same test strips I didn't really lose out on anything, it's always good to have a backup I guess. Thanks for the input.

Think the only difference between Confirm and Micro and the size of the meter. My test strips say they're for both meters.

If you call the number in the instruction book that comes with it you can request a free bottle of testing solution. One each bottle of strips there are numbers that tell you what range the strips should test in with each solution. There's high and normal solutions. If for any reason the test strips test outside of that range I think you call the support and they replace them. I'm not positive about the replacing them because mine always test within the range printed.
Just another way to confirm the strips or meter are working right.

oh okay. Yes Yong, you are right with what you said.
Steph, I wasn't aware that they would send a bottle of solution for Relion, I'll request that, thanks.

Just don't say that you are using the meter for a kitty, since it is not within their protocol to use human meters for animals. Tell them it is for you or your "child"
