Just wondering how often folks out there change their meter batteries. I got a wonky reading the other day and retested right away and got a normal one twice in a row. Just wondering if I may need to change batteries before it totally dies or does weird readings more often. I think I started with this meter in Feb of this year, so it’s about 9 months old.
Something I guess we all should be aware of....

I've only ever changed meter batteries when they die. I've been diabetic for years. Be aware, however, that many meters use the weird medical batteries that are often expensive and sometimes hard to find--and that it will die at the worst possible time. (My personal meter uses double AA's for this reason; I dunno what Cass's relion uses.)

I just noticed this morning that our Freestyle Lite meter takes the same batteries as our cable releases for our cameras :)
So I am hoping it isn’t a big or expensive deal to replace. I’d just do another meter if so, they are so cheap or free sometimes.

I've changed the batteries in mine twice but I also have a back up meter or two. My Relion Micro uses batteries I can buy anywhere and are not that expensive, $3 or $4.
