Thank you all for letting me vent previously on the board about my diabetic cat, Merlin. Everyone’s comments were just wonderful and all of you have been very supportive.

Long story short while we were fighting the diabetes we had no idea that a tumor was growing. Two weeks ago I took him in because he had gradually been eating less and less, although his belly did seem to be getting bigger and bigger, and then that morning he was just walking along and then laid down, (and not in the normal “this is a nice warm/comfy/nice smelling spot” kind of way).

Long story short we were told about the tumor, he was given some meds to make him more comfortable, and took him home to love on him for the weekend. By the end he couldn’t walk more than a few feet or hold his head up.

Merlin will be missed more than I can say but I know he’s on the other side of the rainbow bridge chasing butterflies and rolling around in lots of catnip.

Shoshana

P.S. Hugs to all of your fluffy, lovable, snugable, boys and girls out there.

I am very sorry for your loss, what a horrible shock! But I'm glad that you could be with him and then help him when he needed it most.

Hugs

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know there are many wonderful kittys on the other side of the bridge for Merlin to play and be happy with.
