You mentioned you were giving an anti inflammatory to Melvin before the FD diagnosis and you stopped it. Was it effective? Who suggested you stop it?
I had Sheba my FD kitty on metacam for arthritis. I was just careful to follow the guidelines and reduced the dose over time to a lower dose that was still effective.
I have also used the equivalent of Adequan injections which were good too.

My civi Moxie started with Cosequen, then add the pain med gabapentin and then later added Adequan. She is only 12 and has had joint degradation since 6 months.
