Melville managed to stay in the yellows and blues last night, but popped up to 312 for his morning preshot. I'm trying to give his ears a rest, so I won't test him until +6, but he'll probably hit red again and slide back down around +4.
I added two new columns to my spreadsheet: Previous Day Calories and Calories per Pound of Ideal Weight. Interesting trend: whenever his PDcal is over 200 (or his Cal/lb is over 15), his AMPS is red. This seems to be the case regardless of the amount of insulin I gave him the previous day. Note that it does not seem to affect his PMPS, nor his numbers after onset.
Not sure what to make of this information. Obviously I need to start by feeding him a consistent amount -- is 20 cal/lb the norm? I tend to feed Melville as much as he wants, so on days that he doesn't eat as much, it's not because I'm witholding, but because he's not asking for it.
If 20 cal/lb is what he needs, then I'll try to feed that for a few days and see what it does.
