Hey again,

Thanks for checking up on cow for me :) His numbers are doing fine, he had a low number one day so I didnt give his insulin and he did fine. I took Sugars (one of the other cats) BG and it was 190.8 which seems high to me. She is 18yrs old and a food controlled diabetic and I was told these numbers are fine but I have noticed she eats and drinks constantly, is this normal? Should I start testing her more often?
Thanks for the help! Other than that all is well, my cat has finally started to get along with the group so we're a big happy family now :P

Hi there!

I am too new to really give you any advice, but I do recommend clicking the edit button on the first post you made in this thread, and to change your topic to include the word "Question?" in it so that people know you are in need of advice. I personally would be concerned if Sugar is drinking so much.

Bump.

Welcome aboard!

Great numbers for Cow. As to Sugar, I'd get a couple of tests before deciding that Sugar needs insulin. There can be any number of issues that are contributing to a higher than expected test. Do you know if Sugar has any health issues going on? Did she eat any contraband?

hi DPS

by any chance did that spotcheck on Sugar happen anytime right after food?

usually when we see a higher than usual number, we like to test again a few hours after food to see if it makes it way down.

Nice to see good numbers for Cow again.
