Maui's Unused Lantus Pen - now given away

Hi All,
It's been quite some time since I posted on LL. I have been holding onto Maui's insurance policy her last lantus pen. It is due to expire in April, so rather than let it go bad, I would like to give it someone in need. My preference is NOT to mail it, so if there is a member in NJ/NYC that needs a pen, please let me know so we can make arrangements to pass it over.

And FYI - Maui is doing great! She is healthy, happy and eats well. Although, I do think she is having vision issues - as she tends to walk into things and doesn't realize that a door or wall is there. And she will also walk into the door or wall and then use that as a guide to continue her journey. Not sure what is going on or why, but for now, Maui is dealing and not sure if there is anything to do about it anyway.

Hi Hillary and Maui!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has an insurance pen in the fridge. I still have an unopened pen of Jazzy's that I saved so Lucy won't go back on the juice. :lol:

I gave the other 9 pens to LL and DCIN a year ago and held onto this one, just as that safety measure. So, now that it's due to expire, I'd like someone to get use out of it. I also emailed Venita to see if DCIN could use it.

So, whomever asks first, gets.......

Maui, the Magnificent! It is very nice of you to donate your Lantus pen. Just because you're OTJ doesn't mean that you shouldn't come to LL parties! We want to have niptinis served from that little red wagon. I've heard about it, but never even seen it. Next full moon. OK?

I too have an "insurance pen" in the fridge...

don't need the pen but wanted to ask when was the last time Maui's blood pressure was checked? my LePew went blind due to high blood pressure and what you are describing sounds like yeah she's having problems with her vision. maybe something to have done if it hasn't been done before or for awhile?

So glad to hear that Maui is still OTJ, but hoping you find out what is causing the wall-bumping. Give her a snuggle for me.

Even tho Crash's journey has ended, I still have his Lantus in the fridge. The smell is quite a reminder of times past.

Her pressure was checked at her last dental visit, which has been awhile. Thanks for suggesting BP could be an issue. I'll make an appt so we can get that looked at.

And Rusty, Maui has a very nice little red wagon that has carried many containers of niptinis and nipjitos to LL parties. It's a bit less shiny and the umbrella a little less stellar, but just like our kitties, it's well used and loved. Maui has missed coming to parties and would like to come to the next one. She of course blames me that I haven't kept her up to date on the happenings in LL.

Oh and I have a taker for the lantus. Yeah - I just need to package and ship.
 
Hi guys, it's great to hear mauis doing so well .. hope the vision problem isn't anything that can't be taken care of .. We gave up all our "insurance" pens last fall .. it sure was scary!
