? Marcus - dosing question

I am really pleased to see the lower numbers on Marcus's spreadsheet, but I have a few questions.

Based on what I am seeing, I am thinking he earned a reduction to 1.0. I am reading this right ?

Also should I be concerned about the low numbers at night or do I need more data ? I know he was high this morning but the low number last night gave me cause for concern and I administered a little honey as well as an extra feeding.

Also, if I am understanding the information correctly I am dosing based on his low numbers, is that correct? I gave him 1.5 this morning but I am thinking I should have maybe reduced that to 1.25 or even 1.00. Just looking for a little advise.

Yes Marcus earned a reduction to 1.25 units with that 48 last night. Dosing is based on how low the dose takes them. We make dose changes in 0.25 increments. When you see a number in the 40s you do need to get it back up. Giving honey was a good idea. You can also just feed high carb food and see if that brings the numbers up.

Can you change the dates on the tabs on Marcus' spreadsheet? You may want to relabel the current tab to "2019-2020."

Good catch on the 48 last night. Like you guessed and Carla confirmed, Marcus deserves a dose reduction. One more "advanced" technique is when your kitty's numbers drop and a dose reduction is indicated, if at the next pre-shot there's a bounce into high numbers (i.e., over 300), you can shoot your current dose one last time and then reduce at the following shot time. In other words, given that Marcus bounced to 342 by AMPS, shooting 1.5u was fine. It may help to soften the bounce. Just remember to reduce to 1.25u at PMPS.

Also, when you reduced on 12/29, you reduced the dose by 0.5u. Dose reductions are typically by 0.25u.
