Once again, Sammy has not had any insulin for 24 hours, and is on the grass on her own. I did a curve yesterday during the day, and she got beautiful numbers.

I am going to take your suggestion, Mel, and do a food test, see what that pancreas is doing. Thanks for mentioning it, I had not thought of doing that, specifically.

Come on Sammy. Maxwell wants to help you pick out your condo at The Falls!! The one next door to his is open and he'd rather have a lovely tuxie girl living there than that oversized orinch Cassanova.

Sammy was 94 this morning when I fed her. She went to 112 three hours later, then 117 at 5 hours after food. Now at 7 hours after food she is down to 104 (on her own, no insulin). i am trying to stall food for another hour to grab another test before she eats. I am surprised she is not howling for food now

Look at Sammy go. Yeah little sluggish on the drop but every one of those numbers are in the normal range. And she's doing it under her own power. Yippee!!!

If I remember right it took Maxwell a couple days completely insulin free before he stayed in the double digits.

Just leave her alone unless she goes over 150 Maxwell's spreadsheet is still in my signature so you can look at how he did it. Btw tested him today....68!

Maxie will still occasionally throw me something in the 130s but if I just leave him alone he'll drop right back down.

You my dear are right now in the second most stressful part of the Sugar Dance. Watching them try to solo into OTJ status. Lol. You so want to shoot because its now the new normal. You've gotten over the fear of shooting low to stay low. Then they decide they don't want to dance anymore and life just seems wrong not to shoot. Kinda like watching a baby try to walk on their own you so want to hold on to their hands but realize if you do they won't learn how to find their balance.
