I received a very nice message this morning from Ms. Joanna who heard that our civvie had passed away and I realized that I had actually been remiss in not sharing that event. Some of you have travelled with us through Aria's crazy sugar days and were always so supportive. There's very few people who understand the emotional stress and depths of losing a pet, but you all are the ones who "get it." Gira was Ari's littermate, so they've never been separated. It was hard when Ari was hospitalized as she would walk through the house looking for her sister. She was a good girl and took good care of her sister when the diabetes was out of control. She would sit and groom her and cuddle with her and sit with me when I would worry.

As sad as it sounds, it was even more of a shock when she got seriously ill as both DH and I had prepared ourselves for Ari taking a downturn since we had so many. Our sweet girl was sick for about 6 weeks and when she passed it was suddenly and at home which is all I could ask for.

So this is for all the civvie kitties out there helping their housemates and their beans through the ordeal of FD. cat_pet_icon

We love you all! Thank you all for your wonderful support and give your sugar kitties and their civvie support system extra cuddles from us.

Hope- I'm so sorry for your loss of Gira. It can be easy to overlook our civies, thank you for reminding me to never take my Darla for granted.

Hope I'm sorry your baby girl has gone ahead. It sounds like she went in the peace, love and security of her own home. That is the most beautiful way to end a beautifully spent life.
I know how much you must miss her, my heart hurts every single time I read one of these kitties leaving such a loving home....we all know too well how you must feel.
