Manny Baril Update

Hi All,

It's been 2 years since we've been here, so I started a new sheet for Manny. He's a longtime diabetic with a history of one remission back in 2021. Manny has battled and overcome many comorbidities, but unfortunately, he was recently Dxed with a lung tumor. Since all treatment options offer the same survival expectancy, we chose stereotactic radiation (SRT). The after effects often require steroids. Given this and a couple of other factors, I placed a Libre to monitor the changes in his BG and insulin requirements. TBH, I don't prefer Libres, but with Manny, it's our only option (trust).

We don't have much data, and given his pattern, I feel this afternoon will be telling. Nevertheless, I figured I'd start a thread for him.

  1. Prednisolone dose is 2.5mg @ 11 AM.
  2. Insulin doses are administered at 11 AM and PM.
  3. Budesonide nebulizer is given as needed.
  4. Levothyroxine is administered at 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
  5. Food is available from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Food is 8% carb, up from 0%.
