mace is doing so much better. He is more active his fur is shinier. But he growls and fights me every morning shot and I have not been able too test his blood sugar. I got o e test done and now when he sees the glucomcometor he hisses and runs, growls and swipes at me. It shows me he is feeling better but I can't test him to be sure. I have tried wrapping him in a towel but doing it by myself i can't keep him wrapped up in it long enough.

Are you giving him a low carb treat every time you try to test? Freeze dried chicken is something most cats love. By giving him a treat each time you try to test him, he starts to associate the testing with getting rewarded.

Also, if you are nervous when trying to test or shoot, he will pick up on that. If you are nervous, he will also be nervous. One recommendation is to sing while you are testing and shooting. It sounds silly, but it is hard to be nervous when you are doing something silly.
