The good news is, Lulu has been seeing green! She had 2 days of blue but I think that was because of her extractions that she had done. I was hoping to see a little bit more improvement in her demeanor by now. She was eating so well for the first few days after her dental, but now she only eats her food in short increments. She still eventually eats the entire bowl, but now it's taking her hours to finish. Yesterday was the last day of her pain meds, so perhaps that is why. She's not hiding and is still very cuddly, but seems slightly off. Her breath is a little funky as well. I've called the vet and hope to get them to see her before her scheduled appt next Tuesday the 10th.

I'm glad to see that her numbers are good, I'm hoping that's a sign there isn't an infection present and that she's just dealing with some residual pain.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Poor Lulu I sympathise all too well with you you poor kitty having had dentist fun (tooth extracted) myself last Friday !! Hope Lulu is feeling better soon :bighug:

The fact that she is no longer ravenous is probably due to the extractions and infection getting under control A well regulated cat no longer craves food. In other words back to their old "self"

Good to know. At least she is still eating. She just seems a little more sleepy than usual. But in any case, the vet is seeing her in the morning so I feel a little better knowing that.

I hope everything went well! Dental work is never fun.

It did thanks - just getting very tired of living on porridge, soup & mashed potato (not all at once!) whilst it heals! & as for rinsing my mouth with warm salt water several times a day :nailbiting:
But if Mac can put up with injections and ear jabs forever I suppose I can't moan (well I can ..but maybe shouldn't):D

I didn’t take Lulu’s bg this morning before the vet and I’m kicking myself!! Got home and immediately tested... 238 :( I’m going to give it another 1/2 hour and see where she’s at. She was still very wound up when I tested. The vet did say her sutures had opened a little, and gave me a weeks worth of antibiotics.

I knew stress could make a difference but never realised how much ! That's amazing!
IIRC we had a kitty here recently who was either non-diabetic or in remission (can't remember the full details) and who ended up with a bladder full of glucose as a consequence of being at the vets for a few hours. Was perfectly fine afterwards if my rather iffy memory serves.
