I'm still plugging along with Lucy's usual 1.2 dose. She has been surprising me with low numbers. I'm unsure of what to do when she is low. I gave her a half dose on 5/10 when she was 133, that didn't seem to be the right decision.

I will be able to check her today mid-cycle. She's eating and drinking "normally". I've had to skip her dose three times in the last few days.

Any suggestions? @-)

How nice to see you, Joan, and Lucy's pretty numbers. I think i'd reduce that 1.6 and try giving 1.4 when you get a pink. Then maybe you can avoid skipping. And yes, midcycle numbers always give you data that helps you figure out the puzzle that is Lucy.

Hindsight is easy...

First off, nice to see you Joan!

1 - That day you shot the .6 at the 133? I would have tried to stall and then shot the 1.2 normal dose as soon as you saw a number you felt comfortable shooting at.

2 - The 190 you got a couple nights ago, I would have probably said "close enough to 200", and maybe shot 1.2 then. Look at the AM cycle on 5/9. That was a beautiful day for Lucy on that dose.

3 - Last night's 150, see #1 above. ;-)

What I am looking at recently is her tendency to have a lower PMPS than AMPS. That might indicate that 1.2u is a tad too much and she's getting "long cycles"? Maybe drop it down to 1.0 for a few cycles and see if her AMPS numbers and PMPS numbers get closer to each other (and hopefully lower overall)?
