I realize they aren't climbing high, but they certainly should be going down, right? The +7 reading is five hours after she ate.
I am worried that she is staying in the pink most of the time, going into our fifth day of this. Could the insulin be bad? Should I up her dose? Tomorrow morning when I will be around? I can't seem to make it past +5 at night to test her.

Yes, they should be going down.... the insulin, looks like you've been using it for two months? Has it ever been left out? Dropped? Does it look okay, a little cloudy maybe, but no "floaties"?
Carl

This is a new bottle that I purchased 9/4/12. It looks fine, it is a little cloudy, not floaties. I left it on the counter last night for ten minutes, but that was my only transgression.

Okay, I think we can cross "bad insulin" off the list.
So, what causes elevated BG?
Stress
Infection
Pain
Not enough insulin
Too much insulin (from numbers that go too low and cause bounces)
Contraband high carb food
What else?

Noticed any LB trouble? Ketones negative? Behavioral chages?
Carl

Well her water intake has gone back up this week which doesn't surprise me. I don't know what LB trouble is. I have never tested for ketones.

LB trouble-
Visits with no deposits, straining to pee or poo, constipation or diarrhea....

+10.5 = 263

Is it beginning to fall because the poor girl hasn't had a thing to eat since breakfast?

I will shoot the same 1.2 amount tonight unless someone has some new advice.

Cool.

Since she saw a yellow tonight, I'd stick with the 1.2u for a couple more cycles. See what she does, if she settles into yellows instead of pinks. If she's still showing more pink, I'd up the dose to 1.4u.

Sound reasonable?
