Hi everyone, we haven't had an emergency or freakout in ages, it is nice to post when we're not in crisis-mode.

Other than April 4 and 5, when Lucy decided to go a little low, things are marching steadily along. I've been giving her slightly lower dose in the evening as she doesn't get any food for 12 hours, I'm probably over-thinking this.

Any suggestions? Think we've settled into the correct dose? Should I go back to a sliding scale again, as I did ages ago? Or be happy that we are doing as well as we are? I like to think I'm DOING something for her. Of course, I do load up on the Relion test strips, lancets, syringes, insulin, correct cat food, input data in her chart, worry and ponder.........

I did a curve 3/30, and it looked like a curve is supposed to look, I was amazed.

We are supposed to have fabulous weather this weekend, spring has taken forever to arrive this year.

How nice to see your post, Joan and see that Lucy is doing well. It would be nice to get the preshot numbers a smidgen lower, but maybe get a curve in first? I am wondering what her nadir was on 4/3, for example. It is interesting how much she varies in that 200-300 range on the same dose; it may be that it could be explained by what her nadir was on a given day. She could be bouncing a little bit.

I think I'd do a curve (or maybe a couple cycles in a row with just a nadir) and see how low she dips midcycle on the 1.4. Then consider adjusting accordingly? Maybe a tiny sliding scale adjustment for the higher preshots or lower preshots.

Regardless, she is looking good and it sounds like you are feeling confident!
