Offially missy is in remission. Missed am feed stuck at dentist. 5am got snack. Fed meal before2pm instead of planned10.30/ 11am she is calm and sleepy. Took her time to jump up to counter as i prepared meat balls. Usually wild when meat around. 3.30pm tested blood. Got 60. Thats usuall before feeding. I have to leave in around 20min for 1-2 hrs. Is she too low? Isthere something i should do before i leave or just monitor her.

Thanks. Just hope that is ok an hour and half after feed. I expected higher after feed, and used to her wild when i cook. Maybe bc she was full from feed.

You have a moderator stumble across it and remove it for you

Next time, all you have to do is go back to the first post in the thread, hit "edit", and change the topic icon from 911 to "none".

A 60 an hour or two after eating, for a kitty in remission, is not a problem. When you were giving her shots, you were basically acting the part of her pancreas. But the results of that shot were not as immediate as her system would function on its own when everything is working correctly. When a "normal cat's" body is self-regulating, the adjustments to increases in BG from eating would be dealt with pretty quickly when it produces insulin on an "as needed" basis.

That's a long winded way of saying "everything looks good to me" :-D
