!LOw On PMPS

Corky's is reading 88 for PMPS He is eating right now should I wait 1/2 hour before shooting or test 15 minutes before shooting?? or not shoot??

Please use a number for your PMPS. Stating that you have a "LOW" would mean that Corky's numbers are below 30 or 40 (depending on the meter). It would be an emergency.

never said it was an emergency, I only wanted to know the approach since Corky’s BG DROPS BY 9:30-10PM is when the insulin kicks in, but thank you, I can Handel it :bighug::cat::cat:
 
If you post your subject as, "LOW on PMPS" any experienced member will see that and assume your cat is in very low numbers. Meters will read "LO" or "LOW" when the result is in a hypoglycemic range.
 
Wow Corky is 67. He is still just fine! I see you gave him quite a bit of food. When you are potentially trying to steer his numbers you don’t want to fill him up so he will refuse to eat. Ao the 1/4 can plus the three teaspoons might be too much- you could just give the 9 percent food and save the rest for when you see he’s going up and you are going to bed! You are so dedicated to Corky, Maria. I really admire that!

I cry a lot when I feel helpless with him, but he's ok now, and yes, I am going to bed now just tested and he's at 100 thank you Suzanne for your kind word, Corky is really trying to get better, he's such an angel with my constant checking it breaks my heart. And I just do everything for that to happen Good night and thank you for always being there for him:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

Remember that you are not helpless. You have the tools (your meter, Corky’s food of different carbs and even karo if necessary) and you have the training/knowledge to manage low numbers. Testing his BG puts you in the driver’s seat. And Corky really has a way or surfing in green now and staying out of trouble, with your help of course. You did great yesterday with his PM cycle.

Ho hum…. another beautiful cycle for Corky. At this rate with him being so steady, you can go to appointments or to the store without worry! It’s really nice.

Actually I have no more worries about that I can tell you I do go to bed very relieved and sleep soundly, and yes I go to the store now without running around like a chicken without a head. It’s such a relief, and his SS looks so impressive, at least for me:bighug::bighug::D:D:joyful::cat::cat:

It looks beautiful! Corky is a real success story!
 
And depending on his number tomorrow morning at six, you may want to wait a half hour or so to shoot, but if he has a pretty typical AMPS, then just go ahead at 6 a.m.

clueless at what happened! honestly, I figured that was what I had to do so I placed my alarms exactly as you said, half hour later, and checking of course regular AMPS 6AM, if it's normal as lately, I'll shoot regular AMPS. Thanks, I sorta panicked when and realized it on his first test after AMPS it was too high
