Low fat and low carb?

I need to find a low fat and low carb wet food for Fiona, my diabetic, plus her really chubby brother, Max. The other kitties are good weights. They getting ProPlan Chicken and Liver which is 55% fat. oy!

Looking at J&B list, the only low fat/carb foods are fish, except for the ProPlan Turkey and Giblets which makes one of the other kitties throw up. He just cannot handle turkey.

Any suggestions?

It is pretty hard to go really low in both carbs and fat.... I forget what the ideal ratio is but I don't think you need low fat (unless perhaps with pancreatitis), just moderate fat. And never go for all fish, as fish is not appropriate as a main protein source...it can be allergenic, it is high in phosphorous and can contain heavy metals

I need the same thing - low carb, low fat.
I've yet to find anything that really works. It's frustrating.

Have you considered either making your own raw food or purchasing premade raw food, such as Feline's Pride?

Raw food isn't really where I want to go. Fiona's brother, Chance, just got over a very hard to resolve case of toxoplamosis - 4+ months of clindamycin BID and then azithromycin which has so far worked but the toxo came back after the first round of clinda so I've still got my paws crossed. So no raw food here as not to introduce the toxo again. I have thought about making cooked food, but w/8 (possibly 10 cats) I'd rather find something easier if possible.

Hi Linda! Thanks for the link!
