Low carb treats??

Since Cobb has decided under the crib is an excellent napping spot, I'm having to lure him out. I know the Twmptations treats I have now are too high in carb so I just shake the bag and pull one out so he can smell and see it to come out. But then it seems mean to not reward him for doing as I ask.

So...any good low carb treats that I could find at the grocery store or Petsmart that I could put in his stocking? Yes...Cobb has his own stocking. :roll: I have a picture but don't know how to upload it.

Hi there! Awesome on the stocking Many on here give Purebites freeze dried treats (my Petsmart sells them), they have a variety of flavors. If you buy the dog ones you get a better deal/bigger bag and they're the same thing I think anything that has nothing but pure meat is ok...these are just 100% chicken etc. Although I guess you'd want the small one to start, to make sure that kitty likes them :lol: I'm sure there is more, but that's what I use I was told Halo freeze dried "Liv-a-littles" are good too...I just ordered some on Amazon to try the salmon ones. I know some people give pieces of plain cooked chicken too. Good luck, I hope you find something that Cobb loves!

I use the Simply Nourish freeze-dried chicken treats for dogs that PetSmart sells. The bags for dog are a better deal than the freeze-dried treats for cats. If you decide to try them, make sure you get the ones that are just chicken. They also have chicken and potato.

I just buy chicken when it's on sale, boil one piece and freeze the rest.

After boiling, I chop it up into bite size pieces and put a few days worth in the refrigerator and the rest in baggies in the freezer. Every few days I take another baggie out to thaw in the refrigerator so I'm never out.

It's a little work, but a lot cheaper than other things..and China loves her chicken!! (she wouldn't have anything to do with the Freeze Dried stuff)
