Looking for low carb food ideas for a cat with digestive issues! My girl has always been a puker (food).
I've tried Fresh Pet, but she got picky about it. I have $100 worth of Smalls in my freezer, but she won't eat that either. I'm tired of cleaning up puke!

yes, thanks, i use that chart a lot....but looking for something specifically for digestion issues.
My biggest suggestion is do not be sold on your Vet selling you "prescribed" food, they all contain very high carbs between 25-30%, even the wet can food like the Royal Cannin etc, it's a scam if I may say so, Vets take a commission by selling/promoting "prescribed" food, I learned the hard way:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

Is your girl doing more of a scarf and barf, or is she throwing up more often from an empty stomach? Depending on your feeding routine, you could try to break up the food a little more often throughout the day, especially if you find she is eating too quickly her main meals then barfing shortly after. Also, some cats are sensitive to certain ingredients, I wonder if you might try a novel protein - ZiwiPeak has some good foods you could try, even some air dried raw with different proteins if you are finding she is getting tired of just canned food diet.

Christie made some good suggestions. Unless it's a matter of scarf and barf, vomiting is not a great thing. It may indicate that there's a stomach issue/food sensitivity. Trying novel proteins is a great suggestion. Cats with inflammatory bowel disease will either throw up or have issues with diarrhea. Their system treats certain proteins like an allergy. A protein that their system has no experience with can help with the the GI upset.
