Motor has been off insulin since April 5th because her numbers haven't gone higher than 5.3. What has me worried is this morning she was at 2.1. I'm not sure if I should be concerned about that number since its happening naturally. Her behaviour isn't anything out of the ordinary and she's eating but since she was only diagnosed two weeks ago, I'm no expert on cat diabetes or what is/isn't normal. Any input would be super appreciated :)

First of all, congrats on the great numbers!!! You might try retesting to see if it was just a wonky reading.

Yeah, I'd retest. It's not common for cats to run that low naturally, but some cats do. In any case, low numbers aren't an issue if there's no insulin on board. She's looking great!

My cat went to low numbers about 2.5 weeks on insulin. I continued to test and his numbers were consistently in normal ranges and no insulin was needed. His vet felt it was transient diabetes and taking him off the dry food, feeding only canned grain free food, him losing some weight, and 2.5 weeks of insulin changed things for the better. I will need to continue testing because he could go back to diabetic levels at any time but I have been told this sometimes happens.

Not on insulin = no worry :). Her body won't make her naturally go hypo. I think the normal BG level for cats is 65 - 135mg/dL (3.6 - 7.5mmol/L). Did you re-test to see if it was a wonky strip?
