So maybe possible fur shot today?

Hope she can get some mid cycle numbers this weekend. It would look like she could increase, but depends on what is happening at nadir.

Today is the first day I am looking at Louie's SS.
My first thought from the other day is that 1 unit is too much insulin
that maybe she should reduce to .5
Sue what do you think?

So hard to tell without nadirs. Possible that he is flat across the cycle and also possible that he dips down into blues. I would say, just based on preshots, those numbers are gradually coming down.

Sue & dmartini4,
that was my thought...hurray for lower #... when I spoke w/ her this am, that was the first thing I said....lower for 36 hrs! She said she will start getting some nadirs and other # tonite when she gets home and thru the week end! She should be able to respond sometime soon.
ty for your thoughts

The nadir is the lowest point in the insulin cycle. For most cats it's 6 hours after the shot, or at +6 on the spreadsheet. It's nice to figure out how low the shot is taking the cat during the day. You want a dose that gives lowish pre-shot numbers but that doesn't send the cat into a hypo in the middle of the day.

Hey girl, that is that wonderful lowest # you take for the + 4-6 numbers, but I think we talked about some +2 or 3, +4 or 5 etc. right???
Glad to see you on here! ;-)

Ittle goes the the vet today at 2:40 - hope for the best as the top of the foot by the toes is swollen too. she is acting ok....favoring it some....Hopefully Dr. Gwen will get to the bottom of this today.

I will not be back on the forum until Monday when I get to work. The lovely ms oh bell will more than likely be updating my spreadsheet for me :)

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend! :-D
