This is not about our diabetic kitty per say, but our beautiful white norwegian forest cat got out and we didn't even know it! I was working and skyping with my husband since our daughter was going to bed. Someone knocked on our door because a cat was sitting there. And it was our Yuki, full of black streaks. She seems to be okay, and those are now gone after a good scrubbing but how scary!

Our diabetic kitty normally wears a collar with tags that has the fact that she is a diabetic cat + our phone number but we have been lax and she isn't wearing it. Makes us thing twice. Otherwise she has been doing very well (except for when the toddler pets her too hard) but she's doing better with our toddler. Hope the other kitties here are doing well.

Wow, scary indeed! My cats pried the door open once and were both out laying on the porch for like half an hour before I even realized! :o Even though they are both strictly indoors they both have collars with bells and tags that have their names and my phone # and Scooter's says "DIABETIC" on it too. They are both super friendly with strangers and beautiful long haired siamese and I know they would be stolen in a heartbeat if anyone came across them.

Soo glad to hear Zoey is doing so well too! I remember when you were considering sending her to a shelter... sooo glad you decided to keep her :-D
