Another question from me today..!

I noticed last night that Harry has started to lose some fur from the back of his neck again :( This happened when he was first diagnosed too.

As a precaution I have put on a flea treatment today (as that is the first thing the vet will ask me). He shows no other signs of 'visitors' though. I will be washing the bedding etc too.

The patch is further back than where I inject him, although I can't help thinking it could be a reaction? I haven't changed anything as yet although we are due to change brand of insulin in the next week or so and this has made me :?

The thing that cleared him up last time was a combo antibiotic/steroid cream ( still have some left........ ;-) ) called Fuciderm.

It seems like one thing after another at the moment......He does look well in himself and has been great since the diet swap but this bothers me. Another thing I wasn't expecting!!! ARGH

Could be a reaction to the insulin but that is very very rare. Could be fleas or could be an allergic reaction to something else. Have you changed what Harry is eating?

I agree. It might be a food allergy. Michelangelo is allergic to all red meats and lets me know by expelling them right back up. My friend's cat, however, would have random patches of missing fur and I also suspected it was food related, specifically to corn. I managed to convince him to switch his cat to wet, low carb food and the fur issues disappeared. IIRC, some Bozita varieties contain "maize," which is just a fancy word for corn. Try an elimination diet and see if that helps.
