If anyone noticed, I disappeared almost completely these last few days.
Last Condo 6/25 condo

A week ago today I was bitten by a spider ( probably) but not one of the bad ones ( they think) and I've had fun like getting my elbow aspirated.
They put me on Avelox ( nasty antibiotic) and told me to watch out for ankle tendon pain ( that's a really bad side effect)
The spider bite was 2 days after a wasp stung me while hiking with my dd.

For the last few days I have barely been up.... as I have a fever of 101-102 (we made it to 99 .8 this morning ) and I"ve been taking Benadryl.
I had to stop the Avelox yesterday because my feet /legs started tingling and my skin is hypersensitive so it looks like I'm about to be allergic to the antibiotic too.
It has just now been 12 hours since the last pill so hopefully we'll start seeing some improvement from here on.

Shadow has been more like her old self.
It's like she knows something is wrong with me.
She has laid on the bed with me, and on me, helping me keep warm and a few too many kitty facials. ( remember the hypersensitive skin  )
She also wants me to get up to get her food because those other waiters in the house just don't have the right touch. ;-)
She didn't eat her food last night for some reason. But she's back to eating okay today. She has just been right there with me for the last couple of days since
I had to retreat to the bed.

So hopefully I will slowly be back around as I can manage to sit up some today.
I really have no idea if the fever is antibiotic related, or spider bite related.
I'm just ready for it to all be back to normal.

Oh good grief. Spiders and wasps and med allergy oh my! That is just too much. How lucky to have such a devoted Nurse Shadow.

Sending healing vines for Nurse Shadow's beloved bean.

Yay for Nurse Shadow! Love the image Anne

Of course you are missed Rhiannon! Please get well soon!!!! What a rotten run of bad luck with the bites and the med problems.

OH geeze, what bad luck. I hope the lower temp means you are fighting off the bit and the side effects!

How sweet of Shadow to return the favor by looking after you. Yes! You have been missed!

Hi Rhiannon. So sorry that the spider bite had such a terrible effect on you. Do you think that it's closeness to the wasp sting contributed to it's severity? Hope nurse Shadow gets you back on your feet and back to normal. Glad Shadow is doing well.

Have a great day and take care of yourself Rhiannon.

Hi, Rhiannon, I've been wonder where you guys have been. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Darn insects and arachnids!
I hope your fever continues to decrease.
How nice for Nurse Shadow to take extra care of her mama. She definitely knows you're feeling off ~ our kitties are so tuned in with us, and they can sense things in ways we can only imagine. (Well, maybe except for you, now that you have spidey senses... ;-) ).
Seriously, though, sending many feel-better vines your way. Hugs, too!
And scritches for your amazing caretaker.
:YMHUG:

What the heck??! That's pretty awful to have all that going on at once. Glad Shadow was there for you, just has you have been for her. Sounds like you can't go outside unless you're wearing a full suit of armor - ugh! Feel better soon!

I think I should get some new ability like shooting webs from my wrists and swinging from building to building.

I'm hoping I'm almost past the worst of it....
Today I'm itching all over. I've got Shadow's soft hairbrush so I won't claw myself.

Rhiannon, so sorry you've been going thru so much with the spider bite. I love how Nurse Shadow is comforting you. Sending healing and feel better vines.

You poor thing! I hope you are on the road to recovery! Nasty, dangerous spiders - Please take care - give your wonderful nurse a hug! After you feed her, of course!

Omigosh Rhiannon, that's so awful! It's just terrible when the 'cure' is worse than the original hurt too!

Thank goodness Nurse Shadow is there to take care of you, and give you facials.....ouch!

Sending anti-itch and pain vines, to you, and scritches to your sweet nurse.

Hope your back up soon, Sorry your under the web

Shadow loves mom glad she is taking care of you.=^:^=

Ugh on the bites! I've become a lot more sensitive to wasp bites and can so feel for that itching. I would keep ice on the bite spot for ages.

So sweet your shadow Shadow is back. I guess that's the one up side to this. Get better fast.

Rhiannon I'm so sorry you're dealing with all of this. Sending prayers for you to get better quickly. That's sweet Shadow is taking care of you. That's good she's acting normal now.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry you're still dealing with after effects of the spider bite. It's frightening how much havoc a teeny little thing can cause. Sending a ton of feel better prayers your way. I'm so glad to hear Shadow has been more like herself, and is playing sweet little nursemaid to her MamaBean!

Yikes Avelox! I put that on my allergic to section when I have to fill out forms due to the fact I was put on it for a bladder infection and had a minor panic attack on it while driving. I ended up calling the doctor the next day and requesting a new antibiotic. It's a bad antibiotic. Too many side effects for that one.

And also yikes on the spider bite and so soon after the wasp bite. Oh dear. Hopefully you will feel better soon!

Aww on Shadow being your caretaker. :-D

YIKES!!! Do you have any tissue necrosis? I hope it wasn't a recluse or black widow.

Sending you tons of healing vines. I'm so glad you have your best nurse there!

Hi Rhiannon - om my! I so hope you are feeling better. I had redwood how you were dong as all that you had to got through with that spider bite did not sound fun at all. I love how Shadow has been taking care of you. Kitties know when we need them. Take care, and I hope all will be better soon.

I hope you're feeling better soon! It really stinks being sick. Our cats definitely know when something is wrong and I've had multiple cats act as nurses. My first cat Siam used to lie between me and the edge of the bed when I was sick so he was my guardian in his way. And Julia lies with my Dad every night. He's bedridden and the couch that his bed is behind is her spot, most times as close to the head of the bed as she can be. It's good to know your nurse Shadow is on top of things. And thanks for your advice on moving shooting times earlier. It was a huge help!

No necrosis. They think it was just some common spider. We had thought it might be a recluse since it became so swollen so quickly.... kind of like a red bullseye.
But there was no blistering and it's almost back to normal.

now I need to figure out how to keep wasps from stinging me or my dd when we hike. She had a mild allergic reaction to her sting. They are only out on the hottest months.

I don't think wasps drop to the ground immediately when poisoned. :?

We each had at least 6 different ones land on us. I had one that wouldn't get off my hand until I poured my drinking water on it.
I think they are that desperate for moisture.
