There has been so much sadness on the board and sick kitties and beans the last few days. I wanted to ask for another prayer favor.

A friend of ours from Houston had just started working at BP a couple of months ago. He was in his late 50's and thought that he could work one year there and make as much as he would in three years at his present job. Then he would retire and spend time with his kids. He was not very excited about having to travel to Algeria and work there for a month, but said he felt safe. He had only been there 10 days. His name is Victor Lovelady and today it was confirmed that he was one of the American's killed by the terrorists. He was one of the sweetest most genuine person I knew and he will be greatly missed.

If you could all say a little prayer for Victor and his family, I would greatly appreciate it. They will need all the love and support they can get.
 
Oh no, how awful. I am so sorry this tragedy has taken your friend. So many lives lost for no understandable reason. Prayers being sent for his family.

We've been following the developments on bbc.co.uk and its just so awful and affected so many nationalities and families.

Melissa, I was here earlier, and saw your post, and just had to walk away, the horror of seeing it all on the news has been too much to take.
Then I saw his daughter on the ABC evening news. She was saying how they were afraid for him to go over there, but he thought it was safe. It was unbearable to watch her, trying to keep her composure.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. So sorry for his family.

My deepest sympathy to his friends and family.

(((Melissa))) OMG...I was reading about that and I am so, so, so very sorry for the loss of your wonderful friend. We definitely send prayers to his family and to yours during this very tragic time.

Please let your friends know that my thoughts are with them. There is so much senseless violence that disrupts the lives of so many truly good people. I can only send your friends the strength to bounce back from this tragedy.
