Ok, the procrastinating has got to stop and it stops today....I should have done this a few weeks back.....so here goes:
I will once again be doing a raffle to benefit FDMB. Last year, we were able to raise over $600, thanks to everyone who donated items. I am once again asking for donations to go towards the raffle. Hopefully I will have everything organized and baskets/prices information posted by the end of November. I was thinking that the raffle could be held either at the Pittsburgh Winter reunion or for Valentines Day.
Suggestions are welcomed! Thanks to everyone who helped with this raffle in the past and for those of you who will donate to this years raffle.
 
Hi Deb. I'm glad you're doing The Basket Raffle again this year. It must be a lot of hard work, so thank you.

I think it would probably be better to run it through Valentines Day as you will have more time to gather donations and sell tickets. Just my thoughts.
 
That was my thoughts exactly, Dyana! It is a lot of work.. takes a lot of time and dedication, but I do enjoy doing this. So far I've gotten two donations for baskets!!! Awesome!!! Got some Mary Kay products and a quilt!
 
Suzanne, any type of donation will be appreciated. So far we have a kitty quilt, Mary Kay products, Avon Products, a kitty pi, kitty toys and jam. I make "baskets" with the items and the baskets get raffled off....Last year we had a sweets basket, a kitty basket, a misc. basket, and a jewelry basket....plus a "wheezer basket". The proceeds to that basket went to another FDMB member to help with the cost of her sick kitty. So, any and all donations will be appreciated!!!
 
Cheryl....we will have an IPad this year.....when you donate it to the cause ;-) ;-) .

Kim - In the past, the items have been mailed to me. I take a picture and post it on the board/FB so people know what items are in the basket.

hmm, Do you think anyone would be interested in a signed paperback copy of Homer's Odessey by Gwen Cooper? I have a copy I won in one of her contest :) I was able to see her this year when she went on her Love Saves the Day Tour so I had her sign my Hardback Homer book.

What about Dog treats? I have quite a few bags of Blue Training treats and some Blue promo stuff.
 
I'm not sure if anyone would be interested but maybe........I can put a misc. basket together and put those items in it! Thanks, all donations will be very much appreciated.
 
Deb, just sent you a PM with regards to my donation. And I also think Valentine's Day is better since Christmas is fast approaching, and so is Thanksgiving. It'll give everyone extra time to donate.

I bet I know what Cheryl will donate - her special jar of dingleberry jam! Of course it will make me sad if she does, since I asked Marjorie to make it special just for her....

Stopping in to bump plus let everyone know that we are getting some pretty nice donations! I am at work now and I have the list at home, so later this evening I will post!!

There is also a Kitty Pi made by Lynda and Scruffy, Devon's famous cookie Bouquet, and a rock fountain donated to us by KC Carney (who's sister donated it to her to donate to us)....At this time, I can't post pictures because the pixels are to large and I haven't figured out how to shrink them.
 
Another donation just came in!! Tigger's Friend (Suzanne & Tigger) is going to donate a bag of Freeze dried Chicken treats and a cat's self-thermal pad!!! Thanks, Suzanne!!!
