Hi everyone,

I am trying to find a reseller of raw food in Toronto for Silvester, store or a private seller, it does not matter. I have been trying to contact Feeline's Pride, but no results. All stores around me do not sell raw meat without added fruits and vegetables.

If anyone have some information on where to get raw food in Toronto, or from US who delivers to Canada, that will be great.

Thank you.

While I can't recommend any raw foods as I haven't personally used them, here are some that I know are available in Ontario. As far as I know, Carnivora and Bold Raw do not contain veggies and Tollden Farms has a botanical mix that contains a few different greens, but not a pile of veggies. I'm not sure about the others, but listed them for you to check out. Each site has a store locator, so hopefully you can find something nearby.

Carnivora - www.carnivora.ca
Bold Raw - www.boldraw.com
Tollden Farms - www.tolldenfarms.ca
Pets 4 Life - www.pets4life.net
Stella and Chewy's - www.stellaandchewys.com

Hope that helps!

Thank you very much for websites Elle. Will call the companies on Monday.

How do you like the results of Tiki Cat Puka Puka? I was looking at this product just few days ago, as it is not high in carbs and phosphorus.

No prob.

So far, so good with the Tiki Cat (antijinx). I'm happy with the quality and Squeak seems to like it, so I'm cautiously optimistic. One nice thing about it is that it's higher in calories than some of the other low carb/low phos foods (eg. Weruva), so I'm feeding her just about the same amount as when I was feeding her pate - it's easier on the wallet and easier on her, given that she's not a big eater. Don't know what I'd do if I had to get an even greater volume of food into her!

Word of caution on the raw foods - if you're looking for low phosphorus, it'll narrow your choices. I had been looking at Tollden Farms and ended up ruling them out because the phosphorus was too high (according to my math, anyway).

You can reduce the amount of phosphorus in food by adding some cooked egg white. It is full of good quality protein and low in phosphorus

This store http://tailblazerspets.com/products-cat-food-dehydrated.php looks like they have a good selection. I've used Primal freeze dried raw before. Practically no carb and the freeze dried turkey is less than 1% P. Not sure of their other flavors off hand. There are some fruit and veggie in it but it must be very low for low carb value. Remember a small amount of veg matter is good for cats. It gives something for intestional bacteria to work on.

TailBlazers is located near Sherway Gardens and their customer service is terrific! They ordered food I wanted to try in for me and said they'd stock it if it worked out for me. They have a huge freezer/refrigerator unit with a huge selection of raw foods many of which are not available in other popular pet retailers. It's a holistic pet food store very pro raw diets.
