Original vet has moved on - have found a good kenneling situation at another, but not really adequate for diabetic situation (prescribed a high fiber dry food and resisted my request to transition to Lantus).
I'm just starting to try to transition from dry to wet food and getting the hang of blood testing, injections and spreadsheet keeping. He's a neutered male, probably 12++ years old (was a street cat in 2006). 16 lbs was down to 11 when diagnosed, and back to 16 again in this first year of diabetes.
