Does anyone have suggestions for a specific brand of freeze-dried treats for my sugar boy, Nicky? I want to start home testing and from everything I've heard it goes a better with a treat incentive

I use Pure Bites (they are just pieces of freeze-dried meat, available in several, single flavors) and Orijen treats, which come in blends of flavors.

I use Orijen treats - all the different flavors. I buy the dog size ones as it is the same stuff but bigger morsels and cheaper.

I actually found this one Only Natural Pet Minnows Freeze Dried Cat. Jones seems to really like have 1 or 2 of those a day.

My boys are fussy its chicken as well and shrimp is NO:facepalm:
However--Momentum makes chicken breast freeze dried they like and wildside salmon is 1 ingredient. I know Dre is a bit strange but he likes vaseline and since he has constipation sometimes it is a win win!

There is a semi moist food called Tender Moist that is about 12% carb (but you would only give 2-3 kernels):cat:

Is there a treat that's not freeze dried to be purchased. She doesn't like the freeze dried chicken or shrimp

I went through every possible protein source in "freeze dried" treats and China would have none of it

We finally hit on a winner with Orjien Wild Boar treats.....they're still low carb but the texture is different.....they also crumble up into a nice powder for sprinkling on top of food when they're feeling a little bit finicky (the dog ones are the same thing as cat only bigger...and cheaper)

Halo also has wild salmon treats. And lamb I think. You can also boil up some chicken and cut it and up and freeze it for treats.

I originally bought some YA pure carnivore treats for Maury. They're regular crunchies. Just recently bought him some of freeze-dried Pure Bites that Lucy mentioned, for Maury's birthday last week :)

Last week when hunting down low carb wet food I picked up Fancy Feast's bag of one ingredient treats. (They even come individually packaged with a dollar off coupon stuck on the bag.) I don't know if they have multiple flavors, but the ones I got were salmon and my kitty thinks they're crack. She comes running to get tested now when I pick up the meter kit because of these treats.
(I just picked up 2 more bags from my Wal-Mart tonight!)
