? Looking for thoughts on Smokey

Smokey is looking pretty good these days!

What you're seeing is most likely some depot action from previous shots, plus as Smokey gets used to being in these nice numbers, he's not bouncing and just hangs out in them for a while. It's great progress from where he was a month ago!

If you are wondering about whether his pancreas is waking up and he might be thinking about going OTJ (shhhh!!!!)... yes, he might be thinking about it, but there's a ways to go still. You have some steps down the dosing ladder, and also he's only really just started spending a lot of time in blues and greens. But he's looking good!

He should be doing .25 unit right ?
 
Under SLGS, yes; he went below 90 (in fact, he's gone below 3 times). Are you adjusting the SLGS reduction point now that he's on a low dose? Sometimes people find that helpful at this stage, and after they've gotten very familiar with their cat's patterns.
 
I think you need to reduce to .25 and stop skipping doses. Those blues are good numbers to shoot if you are around to monitor. It could be that Smokey is getting close to some great numbers but isn't getting enough insulin to help him stay there. Is it possible to shoot when you have nice blue numbers? As long as you can monitor...

Yes, he's earned the reduction down to 0.25 units. You do also need to think about the point at which you skip vs. giving insulin. As his numbers get lower and flatter, you will have to shoot lower numbers. The guidance per SLGS is to shoot above 90, once you have the data to do so, and can monitor.

I feel comfortable doing it in the morning but not at night . Especially when hes up and down with his appetite.
