Hey guys! (Hope this is in the right forum - let me know if it's not!)

Looking for a new vet, preferably one who supports home testing and has experience with feline diabetes in and around the Nashville, TN area. I live in metro, but I'm willing to drive anywhere from 20-30 minutes outside of town (any more than that, and Mr. Kink gets WAY stressed out. He always upchucks in the car once or twice for good measure, just to show how upset he is.)

Our old vet was in Murfreesboro, but he's the one who had us switch him to high carb kibble that *probably* caused this, so we're really reluctant to take him back there. His recent bloodwork was done at ValueVet in Bellevue, but they don't treat diabetics. They referred us to a vet across the street, but I'd rather take any recommendations from this board before going in to another vet blindly!

Thanks for your help!

I asked someone who lives in Nashville (though she does not have a diabetic cat) - she recommends Dr. Waldrop at The Nashville Cat Clinic in the Antioch area of Nashville. Hope this helps...

I'm in the Nashville area too (Spring Hill), and trying to find a vet that is willing to try treatment with OTC food and not DM. Not having much luck. Maybe I will call the cat clinic.

oh purrfect! :-)

i just posted on your other thread to see where you were located to see if we could find you a vet recommendation so this worked out perfectly. cool. :-)
