Hello lovely Lantus people!
I have not been on this board in forever, and have also been really lax about keeping up Plum's spreadsheet, mostly because we were focused on our German shepherd, who lost her battle with megaesophagus this spring.
Plum is doing well and has been remarkably stable, at 2.25 units. He runs right around 250 (on a human meter) for pre-shot readings, but doesn't seem to come down very much. At a recent vet visit his vet mentioned that one of his bloodwork numbers was just starting to hint at kidney disease. I'd like to keep on top of this, of course. Oh, and confirmed (after years of treating/not treating, with steroids) that he does have asthma - that's probably what caused him to become diabetic (plus crappy food due to my ignorance.)
Anyway - he is good overall, happy and playful, although his appetite is down a bit because he's on zeniquin for lung inflammation due to the asthma. He's not currently on any other meds but she may want us to start giving inhaled steroids again. I'm a little nervous about the balancing act there.
I see some familiar names and a lot of new ones. Purrs and vines to all in need.
