Hi,

Lolly's 13, has been in remission for 16 mos after Lantus tight regulation. She's having a lot of work done including at least three extractions on Tuesday. I've been reading that major dental work can knock a cat out of remission. Is this true, how often should I be checking her BG when she comes home, should I have insulin on hand? Anything else I should know?

She has to have the dental, her teeth got very bad since putting her on the sll wet high protein diet.

Thanks everyone.

Sometimes a dental can help a kitty go into remission.... for some reason tarter often knocks a cat out of remission.
Steroids have been known to cause FD to come back....
I am not a expert so I will BUMP this....

Blu is going in for major dental extractions tomorrow too, and is in remission. So scary! He's about 14-15 yrs old. Hate the fears! Hugs and fast healing to Lolly!
