I think I would try for a +6 or so, see how low he goes. Not a terrible AMPS, and a nadir will indicate if an increase makes sense.

I'll be blunt. How is Loki's poop schedule? I ask because my Simba was in super high numbers all the time until I figured out that his constipation didn't stop with his enema at the vet. Once he started on Miralax (which is a daily challenge) his numbers became more manageable. He's also heavily effected by the weather, he'll be 18 next month, and has arthritis in his hips. When he should be getting reasonable numbers, and instead he's skyrocketing, he is predicting the coming weather.

Sometimes, (like today) Simba's BG's end up in a slant instead of a curve, when he gets too much insulin on one dose. It looks like Loki might be a little slanty every few days too.

Hmm Mary and Simba good question I do check his urine but have never really noticed his bowel movements, with 3 cats I never really thought about it, I do clean the litter boxes a few times per day, so will keep an eye out for that or I may put him separate in a room with a litter box like I do to check Ketones. Thanks for the heads up, you never know and it cannot hurt to cross that off the list of why's.
Thanks.

PMPS # tonight is at 272 gave him 1 1/2 unit and he is eating, also gave him a little vasoline on his front leg as he is having hair balls and it's sugar free compared to the laxatone.

I used to use crisco shortening on a kitty with frequent hairball issues. But I don't imagine it's too good for a diabetic.

Much better number for pmps:-)
