what could or would cause a LO BG reading in what we know so far is a civie? (labwork due back today from vet)
story: 15 yr old male civie. noticed eyes were non-responsive last week. otherwise acting his normal self. took to vet. vet confirmed hypertensive. no retinal detachment in one eye, possibly a teeny spot in the other eye. and we are waiting on b/w results that should be back today for everything else.
she said she wouldn't be surprised if he came back hyperT based on physical exam & larger than normal thyroid noted.
i've had him close with me all weekend and to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back CRF too based on the ungodly amounts of water he's been drinking all weekend. seriously. for a cat that's been eating wet food for several years now, i am shocked to see he's drank probably 3-3.5 cups of water since 1:00pm on saturday
thus, my urge to test his BG this morning
two different tests. two different blood drops. both read LO.
anybody have any thoughts on that one?
