Linus - looking better

I was right - we were very late getting home last night, so shot time was 2 hours later than it should have been. However - that meant that when I tested at 5:00am it was only +7 instead of the usual +9, and Linus was at 212!!!! He hid under the bed and Pierre got no numbers after that, but Alec gave AM shot at 10:00, so I knew he had lots of time to come up. I just got home and did a check at +6.5 and he's at 235. Big, big curve if his PMPS comes up 400+, but I'm hoping it doesn't. We'll get it back together this weekend and I'll get some better mid-cycle numbers on my days off.

Friday the 13th wasn't a stellar day for us, either, but it's just one day and I'm welcoming a new one with eager anticipation of GOOD numbers! (In fact, our day begins in about :15 :smile: )

Early this morning, +8, Linus was 379. The number doesn't surprise me, but it's early in the cycle for it to be so high. I'm thinking I'm going to bump up another .2u tonight and see what it does over the next few days.

I am so hearing what everyone is saying this morning. It's been 4 months for Linus and I, and I don't feel like I have a handle on things, either. My husband can test and shoot (except the cat hides under the bed when he sees him coming), and my son can give shots, so I have some help. I just thought we would find the right dose and the right food and everything would be under control. And knowing people who say, "Oh, yeah, our cat was diabetic, we just gave the shots twice a day and took him to the vet once a month for a blood test and he was fine" doesn't help. I know I'm doing the right thing, but all this knowledge comes with a price, and that is the worry and the research and the dose changes and the ketone strips and the middle of the night testing.
