Linus is OK - meter issue now

After our "cat"astrophe of the other day when iced tea got spilled on/into the meter, I waited overnight to see if it would dry out. Got error messages for about 12 hours, then got an F-4 message when my strips were F-3, finally after about 24 hours, at least it was acting correct at start up. I have been testing, and the numbers look comparable to numbers I got before, however, I don't feel like I can trust the meter, so I'll be getting a new one this weekend. In the meantime, I'm holding at 1u and hanging on until then. Linus is fine, doesn't miss all the ear poking I'll check in when I have more reliable data. I have updated the spreadsheet, marked readings after the catastrophe with a ?

Hi there!

I did not spill ice tea on my meter, but I had some questions about its effectivity so I went and bought a second Relion (Confirm) and I tested both meters on Sid - they were 100 points difference and then tested both on myself. I was 173 - that's kind of high for me but it was after a meal so I'm probably not diabetic (let's hope not, one in the house is enough). But good you are getting a new meter. I'm sure Linus is happy to have a reprieve from poking
