Still pink pre-shots, but seeing a little yellow here and there. I made an appt with the vet next Wed for a dental, and emailed her with my reasoning and a link to the spreadsheet. I also told her if he doesn't come closer to being regulated after the dental, I would like her to help us try a new insulin.

Tonight's +3 is 234  That's as good as we've seen in a while.

It will be the first. The vet looked at his teeth in January and said they looked ok, but he does sometimes chew really funny, and somewhere on the board someone said you really can't tell unless you put them under and really look. I figure it's worth a try, then I really can say I tried everything.

A couple of months ago, Mullet (my civie) was eating funny, then stopped eating, which is very odd for him. I took him in, and they found one of his back teeth was broken, and it had rubbed a couple of sore spots on his tongue which made it hurt to eat. Once his tongue healed, he was back to his normal piggie self. He did have to be sedated so the vet could really look well, but heck, Mullet needs to be sedated when they clip his nails! He's not a big fan of the vet clinic, and vice versa. When I bring Bob in, they all act like they are welcoming back a long lost friend. When they see me walk in with Mullet, all the techs suddenly remember they have pressing business "in the back".

That was a nice +3 for Linus.
I hope the dental will help bring his BGs down more for you, it does seem to help a lot of kitties, especially if they have an infection from bad teeth or in pain from a tooth or gum problem.
Good luck!

Hi Sue & Henry -

Hope the smoke and wildfires are staying away from you guys! Talked to someone in Ft. Collins yesterday and they said they were swamped w/ evacuees. BE SAFE!!!

The fire is moving away from Estes, prevailing winds are usually from the west or southwest, so it's pushing the fire and the smoke to the north. So far, so good, at least at our house and in Estes Park.
