I'm sorry, I know I saw it before, but can't find it now. I don't remember how the plunger sits at the dose line, does it cover the line? I saw a good pic here, but can't find it.

I'm sorry I posted again, but I'll be using syringe tonight and want to make sure I have it measured accurately.

Thank you. That wasn't one I saw before but it helps. To my best guess, the plunger edge should come to the top of the dose line? That's what it looks like to me. Please correct me if wrong.

Re: Link on drawing insulin? More Questions??

I was reading on Sugarcats and it says to put a little air in the bottle insulin. I'll be drawing from a Lantus Pen, do need to do that? I notice there is NO air in the pen, but I'll be using syringes from now on. I have to do the first one in an hour, someone please help?

OH thank you! I know that site is older, there wasn't even mention of a pen, but thought I better ask to be sure. And I knew a lot of people here used a pen, like a vial, I just want to do it right!

Thanks again!!

Lucian thanks you too!

Anytime! When I first was starting out, I read so much stuff in such a short amount of time that I couldn't remember where I'd found certain bits of information. Heck, there are still moments when I'll pull something out of my brain from having read it but then am unable to find the original documentation. Glad I could be of help.

That wasn't it either, but it showed exactly what I wanted. I didn't know if the plunger should come up to the bottom of the dose line or cover the dose line.

Thanks ya'll!

I did my first syringe shot, hope it's ok, been using the pen for a week, but knew he had to have an increase and a full unit, I felt, would be too much.

And yes, I've read so much my brain has turned to oatmeal! I haven't even SEEN my TV in a week!
