Cathie and Shaak Ti (GA)

The way Shaak plays now is simply amazing!!! She carries her whole feather toy, three feet long with giant feathers on the end from room to room looking for one of us to play with her. I can't keep track of her toy mice because she carries them to all different places and then suddenly pops up with one of them in her mouth. She still hops up on the bed when it is time for weekly BG's, no complaints, of course she gets her treat as soon as I am done poking her. I wish I could express to all the new beans' that being diligent is so very important to getting a cat into remission. I managed it on Novolin N, which I basically was hearing was about the most difficult to do. I had to give up my life for weeks to tend to hourly care of Shaak. I was sick on my feet and it was dreadful, I was crying, bawling even over how difficult it was to take care of my family and our cat and even manage a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep. It was awful for weeks. There was light at the end of the tunnel, all that hard work paid off, now Shaak has been in remission for two months and it is like we have a young cat in the house rather than an 11 yr old cat. She is a joy to behold and to think in February it appeared she was nearing the end of her life. Please Please don't give up and be diligent with your care, it is so important.
