levemir penfill cartridges?

Hello, I am looking for info on Levemir insulin. It's been a year and a half since I purchased 5 Flex Pens... as Blaze is now only taking from .25 to .5 unit bid. I need to purchase again and find things have changed. Flex Pens are no longer available and there is something called Penfill cartridges? Can we use these the same as the pen? Where are people purchasing them these days? I used to buy from Canadadrugsonline. Thanks, Tammy

I believe you just remove the needle cap and treat the pen like a vial.

I get my Levemir from Canadadrugsonline.com. If you do a search for Levemir there will be no matches, but if you are a returning customer you should be able to still get your prescription filled.

Penfill cartridges are wonderful -- they are just the slim vial of insulin that goes inside the pen.

Since they are small and glass, we keep our current one inside a prescription bottle in the fridge for safe keeping.

I just bought a Levemir flexpen last Wednesday at Walmart and used this discount so I only pay $25 per pen for 2 years.
