Levemir Penfill bottom falling out!!

I was wondering if any of you who are using the Levemir Penfill have found that the bottom part (the brown part) of the tube falls out and the Levemir spills out? It has happened to me twice and I've had to throw out almost full tubes. I wonder if I should buy the Levemir pen just to insert the penfill into it and prevent the bottom from falling out?
 
I would suggest that contact Levemir and also your pharmacy. One of them should replace it. Here is the contact info for Levemir from their website. They need to know about this in case it requires a recall on that batch.

What part do you mean?
The end when you draw the insulin from (left side of below image)?
The opposite end when the sliding rubber piece is (right side of below image)
Are you injecting air into the pen fill? If so then you can cause the rubber sliding part to be expelled instead of sliding in when you withdraw insulin form the penfill. It sounds like yo are injecting ar.

Larry, it's the other side that keeps falling out. The brown stopper on the other side (on the right side of your photo). Yes, I inject air before I withdraw the insulin. I thought I was supposed to do that. Don't you do that?
 
My new veterinarian taught me to pump the syringe a few times. Then, leaving about 5 units of air, I inject into the Penfill, then inject the air before withdrawing the 1.5 units.
 
Do not inject air. That is forcing the moving rubber stopper out. If you just withdraw the insulin the moving rubber stopper moves in, towards the end yo withdraw the insulin.
That can't happen with pen/penfill in pen since the pen mechanism prevent the moving rubber stopper from moving out.
