Baby had some Nordic Natural Fish Oil with a lemon flavor.. I do not plan to give it again, is this poisonous for her? I am nailbite_smile about the Lemon.
From what I could find on line, no they are not poisonous to cats, except in very large doses. That lemon juice is used in a lot of no bite/lick treatments because in general cats don't like the taste of it, too sour for them.
But when in doubt might want to call your vet and inquire.
I know that that kind is often used with both cats and dogs. I do know that Nordic Naturals makes a kind for pets that has no rosemary or lemon added to the capsule too. Other OTC human brands will often have rosemary added - don't really know why. If in doubt, use the nordic naturals you have now for yourself and go out and hunt for a brand without any additives to it. FWIW, Sundown Naturals fish oil doesn't have rosemary or lemon in it, and I find it at my local Kroger.
