Would boiled organic chicken breast be OK as a snack/treat? I feel like I'm starving him! It awful! He's so hungry! I know it's because his sugar is high so hes burning faster, but 12 hours is a long time to go with nothing.

My kitty is always hungry too since he's still unregulated and always try to add as much water to his food as he will tolerate to keep ketones away. Many here use a timed pet feeder to allow small meals throughout the day & night instead of a few larger meals.

On meal sizes, for Vetsulin it's important to feed a larger meal 20-30 minutes before administering each dose. Vetsulin hits hard and fast at the beginning of a cycle so it's vital to have enough food 'on board' ready for the insulin to start working.

Chicken is great to give. No reason you can't give extra cat food in between feedings as long as you don't feed 2 hours before shot testing time. If hes hungry, feed him.

Chicken is a great cat food. Natural, low in carbs, tasty. And you can snack on it too All of our cats love it.

They have them online as well as pet smart as @Kris & Teasel mentioned. Chewy (online may have them) I put them in the vita mix and turn them into "fairy dust" or they puke them. I mix the chicken pure bites and wild side salmon together. Wild side is also online or amazon.

None of my 7 cats would eat the weruva dried chicken treats. The strays I feed liked them though. Ah well.
