He has decided to be picky this morning and doesn't have any interest in his morning meal (even though he woke me up for it). He just looked at it and decided to drink water instead. He can be this way occasionally - is it still OK to shoot with his BG being 380 at the moment? He will definitely eat before the nadir - but right now he just isn't interested.

Yes, Lantus tends to take about 2 hours to kick in so you have time to get some food in him after you shoot. Not ideal but sometimes, it has to be done that way

His BG is high enough and you have time till onset to get food into him.

He just ate - he tends to not eat until he's had a bowel movement, which he's doing now. He's just gonna get the shot late.
