Lantus Vs Prozinc

Hi everyone. My David was diagnosed back in May 2017. The vet put him on Prozinc, we changed out his food and by mid-august he was actually in remission. Flash ahead to March of this year we recognized symptoms again and this time went with a vet who does home visits because we discovered the stress of the vet visits would throw David's sugar up 100-150 points. This vet felt strongly about prescribing Lantus.,,,saying that all of her patients respond best to Lantus. We have been trying to get his sugar regulated since March and we are still averaging 350. We see 400's all too often.
Is it time to go back to Prozinc? Or am I being impatient? And how? We are up to 5.5 units of Lantus. How would we know where to begin with Prozinc?
Any insight would be so appreciated. We do have a spreadsheet but I do not know how to attach it:(

read it is harder to get cats regulated again when they go out of remission.

is he getting regular evening injections? lots are blank, if he is not than that could definietely be the problem. unlike with humans, lantus needs to be administered regularly 12hrs apart to work properly in cats. also, you want to get mostly regular green numbers next time before considering him in remission, better chance of staying in remission if you do that according to the experts here.

Yes - we haven’t missed any shots since March... every 12 hours. I had no idea it was tougher after they’ve been in remission
