Lantus Solarstar pen discount card?

I was wondering if anyone has had any success in using the discount card ($25 per pen)? I used to use the one for the Levemir FlexPens, but once Obamacare rolled out, that pretty much ended. However, Lantus is offering this on their website. Anyone have luck? Here's the link about it:

Pretty much the same story....most pharmacies can't use the Lantus discount card because vets don't have a number that's required to use it. I've heard from a few people who were able to use it last year who are being denied this year because of some changes in the law too

What a lot of us are doing to save money is get our Lantus and Levemir from Canada. The last post on this "Insulin from Canadian Pharmacies" thread tells you all about Marks Marine in Vancouver

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I got all the way through the ordering process, only to discover that they only accept Visa and American Express. I have a MasterCard.

Can you get one of those "pre-loaded" Visa cards from WalMart (or someplace..lots of places sell them now) I think you have to pay a small amount (like $5) for the card but at least it'd give you one to use

I was told by my pharmacy that they couldn't process it because the Rx wasn't for a human.

Apparently, it doesn't matter. I called the pharmacy (Mark's Marine), and they said they are currently out of stock, and don't know when they will be getting it back in. So, back to the drawing board. :-/

But thank you for that idea....if they do eventually get it back in stock, that Visa gift card is a great idea!
