Lantus Losing Effect?

Hello,

I've been giving my cat 0.5 units of Lantus twice a day and would usually get her BG level in the 200s but the last few days its been staying in the 300s - 400s with no changes. Could my cat become resistant to the insulin or is the insulin losing its potency? I've had the vial for about a month now, would the vial need to be changed?
 
The insulin lasts when refrigerated for 5-6 months so that’s not the problem. You dint have any tests past pmps in that cycle and dosing is based upon how low a dose takes the cat. Cats often go lower at night. With so little testing can you get a curve testing ever 2 hours fir one cycje or every 3 hours for 18 hours?
Try giving insulin while your cat is eating.
